News: Natural disasters follow New Moon period.
News: New Moon hysteria. Man shot dead by police.
11th - 12th April 2008
The next few days including this present period will be heavily conditioned by the phase of the Moon and also the impending opposition between
the Moon and Neptune, and also the alignment of the Moon and Saturn in around 24 hours time.
With regards to the present Lunar phase we are now entering into a brief but significant period lasting no more than several days where there is
a noticeable lull in the intensity of emotions and which is often referred to on this site as the ‘emotional doldrums.’ This is just what it sounds like: A period of few great highs or lows, with limited,
and restrained emotions but also the possibility of melancholia, depression, lowered inspiration enthusiasm, and optimism.
During this period it may feel harder than normal to get going and completing ones normal daily routine may appear more of an uphill task than
it usually would. However there may be significantly fewer worries (through apathy) and problems may not appear quite as urgently disposed as previous days.
During this period those on a tight deadline may come to feel especially pressured, but by contrast those able to take things at their own pace
without pushing the boundaries of physical or mental endurance will come to relish the undemanding nature of this period. On the other hand those intent on more demanding activities may
be confronted with lowered self confidence and inspiration and this may be particularly true of artistic or creative pursuits that will see inhibited levels of imagination and energy that could prove frustrating. In fact atmospheres like this are principally why those of a creative nature periodically experience a blockage of inspiration, which has less to do with a jaded personal outlook, than forceful celestial influences that are impossible to ignore.
The reality is that most of the above mentioned traits will be even more starkly felt over the course of the next few days as the Moon comes
into alignment with Saturn. It means that although moods will be restrained, cautious and subject to strict discipline it may also give rise to an atmosphere with a poor sense of personal satisfaction, with
petty frustrations, irritability and low concentration.
Around 15:00 GMT (10:00 EDT) the Moon will come into opposition with Neptune. For some this alignment can be highly unsettling with extreme
emotional sensitivity coupled with escapist tendencies, unstable emotions and confused or chaotic thoughts and actions. In contrast to what is written above this opposition can inspire imaginative or creative
leanings, or else thoughts or intuitions of a psychic nature. Indeed this increased perception may open up new doors of personal enquiry and discovery with the possibility of an altered perspective or
ideas that may lead to changes of a lasting nature.
Alert is 7. Moon 42% illuminated.
London Shooting.
The effects of alcohol during a particularly turbulent period of celestial influence, such as the last New Moon could not be more tragically
illustrated than a recent police shooting in the English capital London. A well educated and respected lawyer in the midst of a trying separation from his wife, became drunk and began firing through the window
of his luxury house in an exclusive district of central London. Police were called and after a four hour stand-off shot the man dead.

Natural disasters follow New Moon period.
We have often maintained that the periods around the Full or New Moon are susceptible to major natural disaster and the current New Moon period
is a powerful illustration of this. In Chile for example a major on going eruption of the Chaiten volcano in the south of the country has forced the evacuation of over 4000 inhabitants of the region as the
volcano continued to spew hot ash and smoke over neighbouring towns and villages. A further indication of the strong forces involved is the fact that the volcano had not previously erupted for around 2000 years.
Meanwhile in Myanmar, or Burmah as it is otherwise known, a devastating tropical cyclone has left at least 15,000 dead and thousands homeless.

Cycle 24 is underway
The latest Sun spot cycle is now underway. The Sun’s activity is never quite constant and for reasons not fully understood corresponds to a
cycle that takes 11 years to complete. We are currently exiting a period of low Solar activity and
beginning the slow journey to the peak of Cycle 24 that will occur sometime between 2010 and 2012. For more on this please go to the following link: Cycle 24 begins.
The effects of Pluto
It should be mentioned that since early November Jupiter has been in close alignment with Pluto. We have not devoted much space to this
alignment because there is some debate as to what precisely, if any, the effects of Pluto really are?
There is also some debate as to what Pluto really is. Formerly it was regarded as a planet, but has now been reclassified as a minor planet,
number 134340. Unlike most of the other “planets” its discovery was quite late, and it was not until 1930 that its existence was finally confirmed, even though it had been largely predicted since 1840.
But does Pluto have any effect on moods and emotions? Here several things spring to mind. The first is that Pluto is quite remote from the
Earth. The second is that Pluto is quite tiny in size - less than a fifth the mass of the Moon. Taking these two factors together it is clear that whatever effects it does have, must be slight and very subtle.
The fact is we don’t really know.
As a newly discovered “planet.” there is less than a hundred years of experience to draw upon which is too little to form any firm conclusions.
However the fact that Pluto does influence things is beyond doubt as it was precisely its invisible effects on other planets in the Solar system that first lead to its discovery.
You also have to take into account that because of its remoteness, alignments of Pluto with some of the other planets only come around after
relatively long periods of time. For example the current Jupiter/Pluto alignment occurs only once in every 13 years, and there have been only about six since the time of its discovery. Hence any conclusions
based on its mood effects must be tempered by scepticism, and this is why we have made little if any reference to this alignment. Nevertheless some authorities feel qualified to bring out likely
prognostications, and with some reservation we include the likely effects of the current Jupiter/Pluto alignment which are shown below:
Jupiter/Pluto effects.
These include “the ability to make new beginnings from existing ‘worn out’ conditions.... with a tendency towards destructive, drastic, or
obsessional forms of compensation for personal inadequacies.”

Tuesday the 6th of June 2006 was a very poignant date on the calendar - 6/6/6.To coincide with this powerfully significant date, a uthor and writer Harry Hinde has published an extraordinarily revealing book 666 - The Divine Harmony - that places 666
in an altogether different light to the rather negative way it has come to be seen. That is not as the Devil’s own number, or the embodiment of all evil, but one whose special harmony and rhythm goes
to the very heart of existence itself.
