2nd - 3rd July 2009
We are now only just a matter of three or four days away from the Full Moon.
Inevitably this will mean a definite rise in tense nervous restlessness with increased anxiety and apprehension. In addition there will be a
more confrontational or argumentative attitude with the possibility of volatile moods and attitudes.
Passions may be running high and this will mean raised tempers and the potential for domestic disputes and arguments over the most
inconsequential of matters.
Today also sees an opposition between the Moon and Venus and Mars. This will lead to passionate, yet affectionate emotions with a keen sense of
like and dislike. There may also be highly creative, assertive, or forthright attitudes with positive minded inclinations that could tend towards new and more rewarding alternatives with ideas that could alter
the course of ones future direction.
At the same time Saturn is coming back into opposition with Uranus. The two planets were conjunct for all of the year until late April and will
now remain opposed until around the end of November. Likely mood traits include ambitious, determined and self willed inclinations with a practical and mechanical minded outlook.
There may also be a cruel and egotistical tendency with selfish thoughts and feelings that may not relate well to the needs of others.
It should also be remembered that Jupiter and Neptune are in long term alignment - a particularly rare conjunction - that occurs just once every
13 years or so. This can give rise to refined, intuitive or perceptive moods, with artistic, philosophical or mystical impulses. Added to this there may be escapist tendencies with emotionally charged feelings
that may be prone to major gestures of a highly exaggerated or extravagant nature.
Alert is 7.5. Moon 79% illuminated.
The effects of Pluto
It should be mentioned that since early November Jupiter has been in close alignment with Pluto. We have not devoted much space to this
alignment because there is some debate as to what precisely, if any, the effects of Pluto really are?
There is also some debate as to what Pluto really is. Formerly it was regarded as a planet, but has now been reclassified as a minor planet,
number 134340. Unlike most of the other “planets” its discovery was quite late, and it was not until 1930 that its existence was finally confirmed, even though it had been largely predicted since 1840.
But does Pluto have any effect on moods and emotions? Here several things spring to mind. The first is that Pluto is quite remote from the
Earth. The second is that Pluto is quite tiny in size - less than a fifth the mass of the Moon. Taking these two factors together it is clear that whatever effects it does have, must be slight and very subtle.
The fact is we don’t really know.
As a newly discovered “planet.” there is less than a hundred years of experience to draw upon which is too little to form any firm conclusions.
However the fact that Pluto does influence things is beyond doubt as it was precisely its invisible effects on other planets in the Solar system that first lead to its discovery.
You also have to take into account that because of its remoteness, alignments of Pluto with some of the other planets only come around after
relatively long periods of time. For example the current Jupiter/Pluto alignment occurs only once in every 13 years, and there have been only about six since the time of its discovery. Hence any conclusions
based on its mood effects must be tempered by scepticism, and this is why we have made little if any reference to this alignment. Nevertheless some authorities feel qualified to bring out likely
prognostications, and with some reservation we include the likely effects of the current Jupiter/Pluto alignment which are shown below:
Jupiter/Pluto effects.
These include “the ability to make new beginnings from existing ‘worn out’ conditions.... with a tendency towards destructive, drastic, or
obsessional forms of compensation for personal inadequacies.”

Tuesday the 6th of June 2006 was a very poignant date on the calendar - 6/6/6.To coincide with this powerfully significant date, a uthor and writer Harry Hinde has published an extraordinarily revealing book 666 - The Divine Harmony - that places 666
in an altogether different light to the rather negative way it has come to be seen. That is not as the Devil’s own number, or the embodiment of all evil, but one whose special harmony and rhythm goes
to the very heart of existence itself.
