Uranus square to Jupiter.
Added on 21st of January 2007
As mentioned on numerous occasions this present emotional atmosphere is likely to be made even more sensitive and insecure by the square
alignment (within 90 degrees) of Uranus and Jupiter. This may lead to extreme agitation, with eccentric, bizarre, or even perverse behaviour, as well as ‘out of character’ thoughts and actions.
In addition there may be intense strain within relationships, leading to spectacular arguments, confrontation, and even violence. These
moods will have an emphasis on the extreme and the drastic and there is a potential for very acute emotional episodes, with hysterical or uncontrollable outbursts.
As with most things connected with Jupiter there may well be episodes of intense enjoyment or euphoria, with unbounded exaggeration, or
extravagance leading to impulsive purchases or expansive gestures of a totally unexpected nature.
Naturally the effects of this alignment - which will be effective for at least the rest of this month - will be heightened or restrained
by other celestial factors. This will be especially noticeable in the lead up to the next Full Moon on the 2nd of February, which may well constitute a period of very volatile moods and emotions.
2007 - Year of intense feelings and alignments.
Added on 1st of January 2007.
At the start of 2007 it is important to understand how significant this coming New Year will really be. The truth is that if the depth
and intensity of the years alignments are anything to go by then this will be a very influential period with a great depth of planetary alignments that need to be respected.
All the indications are that this may be a year rich in incident and extremes of emotion with a determinative effect on later years.
This will effect people both individually in their personal lives, but also in the greater political spectrum that will be subject to a great turbulence and extremity. Similarly this year has the
potential for major natural catastrophes and disasters, with a possibility of extreme or unusual weather patterns that may become especially noticeable towards May and early summer.

Alignments 2007
Difficult time of the year.
Added on 15th December 2006
It is a matter of record that this time of the year is nearly always a period of significant emotional challenge. Some lay the blame on the proximity of Christmas with its hectic routine of stress and anxiety, but there is a considerably more potent
reason that perhaps explains why there is such a major feast at this time of year.
The fact
is that towards the end of December the Sun finds itself to a background of the centre of our own Galaxy the Milky Way. We believe that in so doing the force of Solar energy combines with Cosmic energy flowing from the centre of the Galaxy to produce a highly unsettled period of events and emotions.
It is also a matter of record that this time of year is frequently associated with particularly catastrophic events and happenings and
one has only to remember the South East Asia Tsunami disaster of several years ago to appreciate the dimensions these are capable of taking. With regards to moods and emotions this time of the year piles
on extra stress and anxiety, with restless and impatient moods, poor concentration and a general disinclination towards work or ones everyday routine.
In the Northern hemisphere this mood is compounded by this being the darkest time of the year. Indeed extreme northern latitudes see
very little sunlight, thus increasing the likelihood of unsettled moods and feelings.
Ancient societies seemed to have alleviated this troubling period with feasting and celebrations that predate Christianity by a
considerable extent. In fact the end of December has constituted a time of feasting more or less since organised societies first took root. Christianity merely took over this tradition and despite its
religious background it is interesting to note how Christmas celebrations have almost entirely reverted back to their original character with wild, raucous, and sometimes unrestrained merriment that seem
designed to offset the unsettling emotional climate at this time.
Warning: The planets of war align.
Added on 29th of November 2006
The coming week will show a gradual climb towards considerably more turbulent moods and emotions focused on the next Full Moon around
the 5th of December. This also coincides with an alignment between Mars and Jupiter that will have important implications for moods and emotions over the course of the next two or three weeks.
Alignments between Mars and Jupiter are often associated with outbreaks of war and great social turmoil, and in historical times the
conjunction of the two planets has often been viewed with considerable dread and foreboding. The precise effects of the alignment will depend on the counter influence of other alignments. For example, on
the 9th of December Mars and Jupiter will be joined by Mercury, thus adding yet further to the sense of restless nervousness and action with an incredibly heightened feeling of awareness and acuity.
The more generalised moods of a Mars/Jupiter alignment may tend towards great enjoyment, with self expansive aims and goals, but may all
too readily veer towards extremist moods and behaviour, with aggressive and forceful emotions, and an over inflated view of ones abilities and sense of importance. As a result there is a high risk of
conflict and contentious encounters, and not for nothing has the alignment of the two planets been classified as the planets of war.
Undoubtedly this period also has important implications for the political and social stability of the planet, as Mars/Jupiter alignments
are habitually accompanied by scenes of great social upheaval. It will also increase the risk of natural disaster with the likelihood of disturbed or unusual weather patterns and the risk of major
earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
Mars and Jupiter will remain somewhat conjunct and emotionally influential for around a month and will give considerable colour and
action to the weeks ahead. One date that has the potential for great emotional turmoil is the next Full Moon around the 5th of December, when the Mars/Jupiter alignment will be close to a peak.
Major earthquake follows alignment
Added on 16th November 2006
For days we have been warning of the likelihood of major earthquakes to coincide with the massive alignment of planets that are
currently congregated around the Sun. As it turns out these fears were fully justified. At 11.14 GMT, on the 15th of November a massive earthquake measuring 8.3 in the Kuril Islands off the coast of
Japan raised fears of a major Tsunami disaster.
As events transpired these fears did not materialise but the incidence of this incredibly powerful earthquake illustrates yet one more
time the close connection between planetary alignments and major earthquakes. The unbelievable fact is that conventional science steadfastly refuses to accept this connection, yet few of the so called “experts” who deny a celestial connection have ever bothered to study the phenomenon. If they had they would see a definite pattern emerge that would be apparent to anyone with an open mind.
Any interested visitors to this site can quite easily embark on their own research, as we always try to include mention of the largest
earthquake within the previous 24 hours. Alternatively a full list of the latest earthquakes and their magnitudes can be obtained from the following sites. This data can then be balanced and analysed
against existing planetary alignments or a particular phase of the Moon.
http://www.seismo.ethz.ch/redpuma/redpuma_ami_list.ht ml
http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsww/
Bizarre weather patterns.
Leading up to the current planetary alignment that is now focused on the Sun we also highlighted the possibility of unusual or bizarre
weather conditions. This was especially noticeable in parts of South Eastern Australia that was subjected to highly unseasonable snow falls in what is now late Spring time. Other areas saw incredibly
ferocious outbreaks of hail that in some areas reached the size of tennis balls. Once again, as with the above mentioned earthquake it shows a clear connection with celestial forces that in the coming
days will still be very much active.
Earthquakes right on time.
Added on 13th November 2006
For some weeks now we have been predicting that the immense gathering of planets now clustered on the Sun was bound to result in major
earthquakes. As it happens this was exactly how things transpired and within the last 24 hours (13th November) there have been numerous major earthquakes including the following which are listed below.
6.7 Magnitude Santiago del Estero, South America.
6.5.Magnitude Kuril Islands.
6.0 North Atlantic Ocean.
6.0 New Britain Region.
Conclusive evidence.
Many experts within conventional science doubt that planetary alignments carry enough force to cause earthquakes here on Earth. The
reality is that few of these so called “experts” have ever bothered to study the subject and if they had, would no doubt be astonished how many major earthquakes cluster around major planetary alignments
or the Full and New Moon. It illustrates what centuries of star gazers have always known; that events here on Earth are uniquely influenced by events out in space, and that we cannot separate ourselves
from the workings of the Universe that is our home.
Turbulent period ahead.
Added on the 3rd of November 2006
The next few weeks will see one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments. On November 7th for instance, the
planets Jupiter, Mars, Venus and Mercury, will all be within 16 degrees of one another. Meanwhile Mars will align with Mercury and then there is the long term opposition between Saturn and Neptune, which
will stay aligned until well into next year. As if that wasn’t enough Saturn is now almost exactly square to Jupiter (90 degrees apart) and thus very powerfully influenced.
Strong influence.
This close alignment of planets will inevitably exert a very strong effect on people’s moods and feelings. However it will also exert a
very strong effect on the planet as a whole. This means that the next two or three weeks will be susceptible to extremes or unusual weather patterns, as well as a potential for earthquakes, and volcanic
eruptions. Similarly there is a great potential for social and political turmoil in what is sure to be a very active period of celestial influence.
As always the exact effects will be difficult to predict, but the daily alert bulletins from Mood Alert will attempt to offer some
insight into the likely moods and feelings that may be experienced.
Period of disruption
Added on the 31st of August 2006.
We are now entering a period that has the potential for extreme disruption with the possibility of dramatic changes. This comes as the
Sun and Mercury come into opposition with Uranus. This means that an already emotionally loaded situation will become yet more extreme, with the possibility of major events and happenings on a global
scale.
Determinative period.
With regards to moods and feelings this may be a determinative period with the likelihood of extreme, eccentric or otherwise eventful
family life. Great care should be taken to avoid nasty scenes and arguments, as there will be a tendency towards the extreme and drastic. There will also be a potential for rebellious self willed
behaviour, with a strong deviation from the norm.
Eccentric, perverse, or otherwise bizarre modes of behaviour could be evident, though for some this will manifest itself as acts of
supreme genius.
Hysterical episodes.
Hysterical episodes, or extremist acts with a strong element of reformism are likely, and within the family this could lead to conflict
and confrontation with unpleasant consequences of a long standing nature. This means the possibility of splits within relationships as the overall tension becomes too much to bear. Hence there is a
strong need for tolerance and a tranquil mind.
The Sun and Uranus will remain in opposition until around the middle of September, and will peak between the 2nd and 9th of the
month.
Tragic effects of potent alignment.
Added on the 21st of August 2006
An example of the extreme nature of the Mars/Uranus alignment can be found in any one of a number of news stories that have been
splashed across news headlines over the last few weeks.
One case that is especially noteworthy is the tragic outcome of a disastrous holiday vacation on the Greek island of Crete.
An English couple along with their two children had been looking forward to their holiday on the island as a means of escaping the
tensions of every day life. Instead a bitter family argument culminated with the husband seizing his two children and jumping over the balcony of his fourth floor hotel room.
Incredibly the man and his daughter survived, but the five year old son was killed outright, and what was to have been a period of
family reconciliation ended in the worst possible way.
With no history of violence that man appears to have just snapped in a very catastrophic manner. It shows that even the most ordinary of
families can suddenly be torn apart when the planets are aligned in a certain manner. In this case Mars and Uranus were just coming into opposition, and these two have a well known history of extreme
acts and violence.
This case also illustrates the supreme importance of staying aware of the various celestial forces and their probable effects. At the
very least this knowledge will allow you the possibility to moderate your behaviour accordingly.
Intense period of planetary alignment.
Added on the 1st August 2006
Coming weeks will see an intense period of planetary alignment. To some extent this has already begun. Saturn is now in long term
opposition to Neptune, and the Sun is currently aligning with Saturn. This alignment will remain active for around two weeks and will peak towards the 11th of August.
The likely effects of this will undoubtedly involve Saturn’s propensity towards discipline and restraint. Consequently moods and
emotions may tend towards being cool and reserved, with calculated, self disciplined habits.
As well as inducing more responsible behaviour this will also ensure practical and realistic efforts with planning and persistence. On
the other hand one may all too readily become absorbed with a sense of ones own limitations, with inhibitions, self set boundaries and fewer of the unbounded horizons of other alignments. As a result
there may be needless worrying, and depression, with some pessimism and melancholia.
Mercury and Venus align.
At the same time Mercury is now aligning with Venus. The two will remain conjunct for over two weeks and will peak around the middle of
the month. This may create better harmony of expression, and stimulate nervous and mental expression.
Feelings towards others may be enhanced and there will be better warmth and affection. Creative exploits and inspiration will receive a
boost and there will be better sense of purpose. However these traits will be balanced against others that are not so rewarding in this area, and as always clashing emotions will vie for supremacy.
One date to watch out for is the 11th of August when Uranus aligns with the Moon, while being in opposition to Mars. Coming just days
after the Full Moon this inevitably marks this as a date to beware of.
Turbulent Period.
Released on the 19th July 2006
The last week or so has seen an extremely turbulent period of moods and emotions which is amply reflected in world events and
happenings. The incredible escalation of tensions in the Middle East is powerful evidence of this, as hostilities spiral out of control in a particularly nasty period of conflict.
Meanwhile the natural world has seen the eruption of the volcano Etna, in Sicily as well as a deadly Tsunami that devastated areas of
the Indonesian island of Java.
This tension all stems from the last Full Moon period of over a week ago. This was made considerably more potent as soon afterwards the
Moon aligned with Neptune, Mars, and Uranus. Each of these is capable of very unsettling moods, whose end result is now plain for all to see in a very disturbed picture of world events and happenings.
It is likely that as we begin the climb up to the New Moon, hostile human action as well as natural phenomena may again fill news
headlines the world over.
Saturn/Neptune opposition till next year.
Added on 29 th June 2006
Today sees the start of what is set to be a very long lasting opposition. This involves Neptune and Saturn; in an alignment that will
stay active until well into next year. Naturally this will have a definite influence on moods throughout this period, and will add considerable colour to feelings and emotions for the rest of the year.
These will include idealistic and creative impulses, but the likelihood of confused and impractical thinking. Concentration may suffer,
and decisions will not benefit from the best consideration.
Since this alignment is so long lasting it means that its effects and influence will eventually be assimilated and adjusted to, so that
its effects will not be as noticeable.
This alignment which reaches a peak between early August and October, also has the potential for acute emotional frustration.
6/6/6 - Special Day - Special Book.
Added on the 29th May 2006
Tuesday the 6th of June 2006 was a very poignant date on the calendar - 6/6/6. To coincide with this powerfully significant date, author and writer Harry Hinde has published an extraordinarily revealing book 666 - The Divine
Harmony - that places 666 in an altogether different light to the rather negative way it has come to be seen. That is not as the Devil’s own number, or the embodiment of all evil, but one whose
special harmony and rhythm goes to the very heart of existence itself.

New Moon earthquakes.
Added on the 28th May
The latest New Moon has resulted in a spate of strong earthquakes, one of which has resulted in large casualties
on the Indonesian island of Java. Here a 6.2 magnitude quake led to over 2000 deaths. Meanwhile further quakes of 6.4, and 6.7, magnitude rocked the New Britain Region,
and the Tongan Islands group in the Pacific Ocean .
Major earthquakes follow Full Moon
Added on May 17th
The period immediately following the Full Moon is especially vulnerable to major earthquakes. This was
especially so during this post Full Moon period with no fewer than four major earthquakes within a few short days.
Below are the details:
Magnitude Location Date
6.4 Nicobar islands 13 th May
7.5 Kermadec Islands 16th May
6.9 Northern Sumatra 16th May
6.0 Tonga Islands 17th May
In Indonesia meanwhile the eruption of the Mount Merapi has led to the evacuation of at least 34,000 inhabitants in neighbouring coastal areas. Mount Merapi
is situated 400 kilometres east of the capital Jakarta.
Sun and Jupiter to bring altered mood patterns.
Added on 23rd of April 2006
Coming days will see an altered background of moods including the growing influence of an opposition between
the Sun and Jupiter. Apart from the usual cycle of Lunar phases and aspects, this alignment is likely to form the dominant feature of emotional influence for the next three weeks or so.
Likely traits will include generous, optimistic, and self expanisve gestures, with good humour and a better sense of well being.
On the other hand this opposition can also lead to extravagance, and exaggerated behaviour with an over
inflated view of ones abilities and sense of importance.
Amongst other things this could lead to serious mistakes and severe lack of judgement. For example when this
alignment is aspected by other planets it may lead to a great sense of adventure with an abnormal degree of risk taking.
Altered atmosphere with new alignment.
Added on 12 th April 2006
Today sees the start of an alignment between Uranus and Venus. This will exert a determinative influence over
coming days and will be at a peak between the 15th and 21st of April.
Likely moods to result from this are abnormal, unusual, or unconventional tastes that for some may verge on loose
morals and perversity. There is also the chance of broken relationships with love affairs and illicit unions.
As with any alignment concerning Uranus, there is the possibility of hysterical or dramatic gestures that for awhile
may rage out of all control.
Spate of strong earthquakes follows the eclipse.
Added on 4th April 2006
Over a week ago we warned this period may see strong earthquakes following the New Moon and total Solar Eclipse on March 29th.
In the event there were at least five strong earthquakes n terms of human life the most costly of these - and
ironically one the least powerful - occurred in northern areas of Iran and was of 6.1 magnitude. Although the full casualty figure is so far unknown there have been nearly 70
confirmed deaths with at least 200 remote villages devastated and reduced to rubble.
A peculiar aspect of Solar Eclipses is that very often they are followed by earthquakes that although not always out
of the top category, often result in widespread disruption and loss of life. For example the 1999 total eclipse that was visible from wide areas of Europe on the 11th of
August 1999 was followed barely a week later by a devastating earthquake in Turkey that killed very close to 20,000 people.
It is little wonder then that the ancients viewed eclipses with considerable awe and dread. They knew that almost
invariably disaster and catastrophe would follow soon afterwards.
Other strong earthquakes in the last few days include:
6.5 magnitude earthquake in the Kermadec Islands.
6.1 magnitude earthquake in the Talaud Islands of Indonesia.
6.2 magnitude earthquake in Taiwan.
6.0 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Jalisco Mexico.
Disturbed weather.
We also warned of disturbed weather patterns and this was certainly the case in Central Europe where rising
temperatures, heavy rains, and melting snows have caused extensive floods in parts of the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Germany. Once again in Germany a rare typhoon
caused two deaths in the city of Hamburg confirming this as a period of very disturbed weather patterns. In Australia meanwhile Cyclone Glenda, with wind speeds of over 145
miles batterd areas of the remote North Western coastline.
Floods have also caused widespread disruption in numerous parts of Latin America.
Pilot flies to wrong airport.
Added on 1st April - No it’s no joke.
This period has also been prone to mental lapses of judgement and loss of concentration. Often this may
involve nothing more serious than forgetting ones car keys or misplacing some household item. This may be annoying enough but imagine the embarrassment of a commercial
Ryan Air pilot when he discovered that he had landed his plane full of passengers at the wrong airport.
This almost unprecedented lapse of attention occurred on the approach to Derry airfield in Northern Ireland. Instead of
flying to the intended destination the pilot mistakenly flew into an almost disused airbase five miles away from where he was meant to be. Passengers were later transferred by bus.
More than anything this incident illustrates that even the most professionally trained personnel are capable of the
most glaring of errors when conflicting celestial influences are at their most powerful.
Six shot dead at Seattle party.
Added on 27th of March 2006.
As followers of these pages will know we have been warning that this present time carries the risk of extreme
moods and incidents. A prime illustration of this is the recent shooting of six people in a party in Seattle, USA. For no apparent reason a gunman burst into a late night
party and shot dead five young people before turning the gun on himself. A police spokesman said it was one of the most serious and significant crimes the city had ever witnessed.
New alignments are coming
Added on the 16th of March 2006
We are about to enter a period of very heightened planetary and celestial influence that will bring quite noticeable
changes. The 17th of March sees the commencement of an alignment between Mercury and Uranus. The two planets will remain aligned until the 5th of April, though the
alignment is at its peak between the 21st and 31st of March.
This is likely to lead to highly strung moods with disruptive mental expression though it will also be a time that could
dispose itself to perceptive and creative moods and ideas. Eccentric or perverse thoughts and attitudes are more than likely with an emphasis on the extreme or dramatic.
One particular date to watch out for is the 27th of March when the Moon also aligns with Mercury and Uranus,
creating the potential for highly extreme moods and feelings that will need very careful attention and restraint.
Neptune/Venus alignment.
On the 21st of March we see the commencement of an alignment between Neptune and Venus. These two planets
will stay in alignment until the 31st of March and will peak between the 22nd and 29th of the month. Likely effects will be refined and delicate feelings with a propensity towards
sentimentality and an appreciation of the finer things through art, music, and literature. Less agreeable traits of this alignment include self deception, deceit, confusion and disillusionment.
Since this alignment coincides with the Mercury/Uranus alignment outlined above, it will be interesting to see how
the two interact together in what is sure to be a very colourful period of vivid mood and expression.
In addition to the 27th of March, when the Moon aligns with Mercury, another date to watch out for is the 29th of
March, which is the date of the New Moon.
New influences to take over.
Added on 6th March 2006
We are now beginning to lose the influence of the Sun, Uranus alignment. Probably there will be few sorry to see it
go since this is always likely to bring unusual and very disruptive moods and feelings. Replacing this is the Venus, Saturn opposition which has very different characteristics.
As with anything associated with Saturn there is better control and discipline. However this alignment may also
lead to cool affections with limited self expression and perhaps even loneliness or a sense of isolation. This alignment will exert a background influence till around the
22nd of March and peaks between the 8th and 14th of the month.
Sun and Mercury alignment.
Balancing this alignment with some contesting qualities and attributes is the impending alignment between the Sun
and Mercury. This will lead to powerful mental and nervous activity and better self expression and is therefore in direct competition with the Venus, Saturn opposition that has the
opposite qualities. There is also the possibility of unsettled feelings with a desire for change or new horizons. This alignment will add considerable force to the next Full Moon on March 14th.
The Sun, Mercury alignment lasts from the 9th to 14th of March.
Balancing act.
In some respects these alignments have qualities that may cancel each other out. For example the limited and
disciplined expression of Saturn with the energetic, nervous passion of Mercury. Hence there may be subtle rather than dramatic moods with periods when some if not
all of these characteristics alternate between each other in a very short time.
Five major Earthquakes over New Moon period
Added on 1st March
This latest New Moon period has thrown up five major earthquakes and illustrates the enormous celestial
tensions that are present at this time.
The first of these earthquakes was a massive 7.5 quake in Mozambique . The second earthquake was of 6.0
magnitude and occurred in North Eastern India. A further two earthquakes each measuring 6.5 magnitude occurred in the Fiji islands area separated by just 24 hours from one
another. The latest earthquake of 6.2 magnitude occurred in Iran making this an extremely active New Moon period.
As we have frequently mentioned the New Moon has been associated with at least eight of the ten largest
earthquakes that have occurred over the last hundred years.
Warning for 27th - 28th February (not 1st March as reported earlier)
Added on 24th February 2006
A special warning is necessary for the 27th - 28th February. At this time the Sun will be in alignment with
Uranus and the Moon. This will create a short but extremely tense and powerful period of moods and emotions that will need very careful handling. This may
generate friction within relationships and in fact every area of communication which will tend towards highly contentious circumstances. Unusual moods and emotions
along with out of character behaviour will also be apparent.
An illustration of the intense forces prevalent at this time is demonstrated by the incidence of four major earthquakes
within the last 48 hours. The first of these was a massive 7.5 earthquake in Mozambique. The second earthquake was of 6.0 magnitude and occurred in North Eastern India.
A further two earthquakes each measuring 6.5 magnitude and separated by just 24 hours have now occurred in the Fiji islands area.
Turbulent period ahead.
Added on 9th February 2006
Any Full Moon period is one to watch out for. Characteristically this involves heightened moods and
feelings with a tendency towards explosive tempers and the risk of arguments some of which can be extremely bitter. This is a risk with any Full Moon. However the Full
Moon on February 13th will be even further heightened by an alignment between Uranus and Mercury and is likely to bring extreme moods to an already elevated mood situation.
This will likely bring disruptive mental expression with a highly strung nervous system, leading to extremist ideas
and degrees of nervous anguish. More positive traits include a perceptive and intuitive personality with an analytical outlook disposed to technical or scientific interest.
Mystical awareness may be increased leading to significant personal discovery. On the other hand
concentration will be far from optimal and decisions may be hard to make, hesitant, or prone to frequent changes of mind.
Moon and Uranus align.
The situation will not be made any easier when the day following the Full Moon we also have the Moon in
opposition with Uranus. This habitually is cause for a warning all on its own and taken in such close proximity to the Full Moon is definitely something to watch out for.
Moods may have an emphasis on the dramatic and very drastic so a high degree of tranquillity and mental discipline will be necessary to avoid the worst aspects of this period.
Major earthquakes are more likely during this period along with disturbed, unusual, or extreme weather patterns that
may follow up to several weeks later.
During this period alcohol and caffeine consumption should be strictly moderated as their effects will be magnified.
Long term alignments coming to an end.
Added on 3rd February 2006
Two long term alignments are now coming to an end. The first of these is the opposition between Saturn, Earth, and
Neptune. This has been with us now since the last week in August and has contributed to hesitant, confused and indecisive attitudes with poor and far from optimal concentration.
When an alignment exerts its influence for so long it is possible to become accustomed to its effects or simply
assimilate them without thinking. Now one should notice a difference with improved mental focus and better decision making.
However the above mentioned alignment will not be gone for too long and will again reappear towards the end of
June. Once more it will be particularly long lasting and exert its influence well into the next year.
Jupiter - Earth - Mars
Another long term opposition which is now coming to an end is the alignment between Jupiter, Earth and Mars. This
has been aligned since the middle of November of last year and has provided a subtle but aggressive influence for the whole of this period, adding force and contention to already
over burdened emotional situations. This comes to an end around the middle of February.
The implications of these changes are obvious. The removal of these long term background influences mean we
are now entering a fundamentally altered emotional situation that will remove some of the restraints and disadvantages that these alignments imposed. Similarly a
number of their better qualities will no longer be evident. However the world of celestial influence is never stagnant and newer and more diverse influences will not be slow to take their place.
Major earthquake hits South east Asia.
Added on 27th January 2006
A major earthquake measuring 7.7 magnitude has rocked the sea area off the coast of Indonesia. The epicentre was
in the region of the Banda Sea shown by the large orange square in the picture below.
This latest major earthquake comes just days before the New Moon an d barely 24 hours after we warned of the likelihood of major quakes in the days ahead.
We felt secure in giving this warning because this period sees itself at the focus of numerous major planetary
alignments. In fact nearly every planet of the Solar System is currently in some sort of alignment with our planet. For more on this please see the feature below.
Extreme weather hits Europe.
Added on 26th January 2006
Regular visitors to this page will know that a number of weeks ago we made predictions that this period would
likely see harsh or severe conditions of one sort or another. In the event these predictions proved absolutely correct. Most of central and eastern Europe is currently
experiencing some of the worst winter weather on record. Below are just some of the record breaking features of this amazingly extreme period:
Poland: Lowest winter temperatures ever recorded.
Russia: Lowest temperatures since the Second World War.
Turkey: Coldest winter weather for dozens of years.
Germany: Coldest winter temperatures for over twenty
years.
Greece: Deep snow drifts even on Mediterranean beaches.
Widespread chaos.
In addition to the above mentioned places, heavy, and in some cases record breaking snow falls have brought chaos
to the Czech Republic, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria and the Ukraine.
Major alignments.
The principal reason we identified as responsible for these extreme conditions lay in a particularly complex set of
planetary alignments. During one recent period nearly all of the planets of the Solar system were in some sort of direct alignment with our planet. In addition to this, Solar flare
output for that period remained low, thus creating ideal conditions for a major winter freeze on a scale not seen for over 50 years.
The coming week still carries an above average risk of extreme events as we approach the New Moon on the 29th
of January. Major earthquakes are likely just before and after this period as well as other extreme and severe conditions such as the current deep freeze in parts of Europe.
Period of strain ahead.
Added on 8th January 2006
The New Year may only be just over a week old but we are already in the run up to what is likely to be one of its most
strained emotional periods.
This means that the next Full Moon on the 14th could bring very difficult moods. At that time the Sun is aligned
with Venus and in addition there is the influence of the long term opposition between Jupiter, Earth and Mars as well as Saturn, Earth and Neptune. This all makes for a
potentially trying period that to some extent or another may then carry on to the end of the month with a whole series of Sun alignments that may introduce subtle and not
so subtle changes of mood and emotion.
Especially difficult may be the New Moon period between the 29th and 31st of January which also sees the
alignment of the Moon and Uranus, especially renowned for its unsettling qualities.
Major earthquakes likely.
This period also carries an extreme risk of natural disasters and catastrophes with the likelihood of major
earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, as well as disturbed, severe or unusual weather patterns.
To actually see our full list of the alignments at this time please go to our special chart.
Alignment chart.
Extreme events.
Added on 6th January 2006
From disastrous forest fires and high temperatures in Australia and parts of the USA, to extreme winter weather
in parts of Europe, China, Japan, and Pakistan the last few weeks have lived up to expectations as a time of severe, unusual, or otherwise extreme period of the year.
Add to that the incidence of three major earthquakes above 7 magnitude within 48 hours and you see why this period
is nearly always noted for its severe events. Fortunately this period saw few casualties, but had any of the above mentioned quakes occurred near a centre of large
habitation the casualty figures would have been colossal. For more on some of the reasons that dispose this period in the year to extreme events please turn to the feature below.
Three major quakes in 48 hours.
Added on 4th January 2006
An indication of the huge forces currently influencing the planet at this time, is the occurrence of three major
earthquakes in just 48 hours. The first of magnitude 7.5 was centred on the sea area off the Sandwich Islands in the South Atlantic. The second occurred off the Fiji Islands
with a magnitude of 7.1. This was followed by a third major quake of magnitude 7.0 in the Gulf of California.
As predicted this has been an extraordinary period of seismic activity at a time of equally extraordinary celestial
influence. But just what is that influence?
As frequent visitors to this site will know the latter part of the year as well as the early days of the new year are
subject to special forces. Here are just some that affected this current period.
The proximity of the Solstice - December 21st 2005
Mood at Perigee - closest to the Earth - January 1st
Sun at Perihelion -closest to the Earth - January 4th.
New Moon - 31 st December 2005
Add to this several potent planetary alignments and the effects are very predictable - huge earthquakes, in fact three in just 48 hours
Two major earthquakes in 24 hours.
Added on 3rd January
Just several days ago we outlined this as a period likely to bring massive earthquakes and so it has turned out with
two quakes above 7 magnitude in just over 24 hours. The first quake of 7.5 magnitude occurred off the Sandwich Islands in the South Atlantic (more on this below) and was
followed by a 7.1 quake in the Fiji Islands area of the Pacific Ocean.
This comes at a time of immense celestial forces when the Sun is closest to the Earth in its yearly cycle and also just
days after the Moon was at its closest approach to the planet in its monthly cycle. All in all perfect circumstances for major earthquakes which fortunately have so far resulted in few if any casualties.
New Years Celebrations marred.
Last week we gave warning that New Years celebrations could well turn violent under the influence of powerful
celestial forces. This was certainly so in Britain where at least three people were stabbed to death and dozens injured in violent New Year celebrations the length and breadth of the country.
Unusual weather.
We also warned of unusual or severe weather and once again these fears proved quite correct. In Australia vast
forest fires threatened habited areas and in the northern hemisphere unusually heavy snow falls brought chaos to many parts of Europe and beyond. One country especially
severely hit was Japan which experienced some of the heaviest snowfalls ever. Snow even fell in parts of the desert in Saudi Arabia.
Major Earthquake follows Lunar Perigee.
Added on 2nd January 2006
Regular readers of this page will know that we announced an above average risk of major earthquakes at this time
and in the event our predictions were fully vindicated. At 6.10 GMT (1.10 am EST) on the 2nd of January a 7.5 magnitude quake shook the sea area east of the South Sandwich Islands in the So uth Atlantic.
There have been no reports of Tsunami’s and the remote location of the earthquake means there was little threat to humans. However
the same earthquake close to a populated area of the developing would have caused massive casualties and once again illustrates the fine line that separates the
populated world from massive disasters. It also illustrates the near faultless art of predicting major earthquakes based on celestial factors.
In this case we had the New Moon just hours after Lunar Perigee when the Moon is closest to the earth in its
monthly cycle. This in conjunction with several potent planetary alignments made a major earthquake almost inevitable. The only drawback was we didn’t know where,
but fortunately on this occasion the event occurred in remote areas of the South Atlantic.
It is worth pointing out that eight of the largest ten quakes in the last 100 years, show a definite New Moon connection.
New Years Perigee
Added 1st January 2006
With the Moon at Perigee, when it makes its closest approach to the Earth in its monthly cycle, and several
prominent alignments we have an above average risk of major earthquakes in the days ahead. There is also the risk of disturbed or unusual weather patterns that are
already evident in many parts of the world. As well as major snow falls in parts of Europe snow even fell in parts of the Saudi Arabian desert.
Period prone to disasters.
Added on 23rd December 2005
As mentioned elsewhere in this site late December and early January are prone to massive natural disasters of
which last years Tsunami was a particularly extreme example.
On a much smaller scale the last few days have seen at least five strong earthquakes of magnitude 6 and above
with two of magnitude 6.3 and one of magnitude 6.2: Certainly powerful enough to have caused immense devastation had they occurred close to largely populated
areas of the developing world. Fortunately their remote location led to few if any casualties or damage.
Details of the Earthquakes appear below:
20th December 6.2 magnitude Western Caroline Islands
21st December 6.3 magnitude Southern Molucca Sea
21st December 6.0 magnitude South Of Panama.
22nd December 6.3 magnitude Pacific Antarctic Ridge.
23rd December 6.1 magnitude Ecuador.
Danger Period.
Another period of extreme risk of natural disasters will occur around the New Moon at the end of this year
Christmas tensions.
Added on 19th December 2005
A recent poll for a British newspaper found that fully three quarters of the British public believe that Christmas just
isn’t fun anymore. The extra stress and tension of buying gifts and struggling to ensure the big days goes off as perfectly as possible mean that aside from children, few
actually relish the festival and most find it more stressful than buying a house or getting divorced. Certain to say that Christmas as a festival creates its own tensions that need very careful handling.
Period prone to natural disasters.
Added on 18th of December 2005
The last few weeks of the year - any year - seem to be unusually prone to major disasters with freak weather
patterns and other factors conspiring to create highly unusual events and conditions. One has only to remember the appalling South East Asia Tsunami catastrophe of
December last year to recall the horrors that this time of year is capable of unleashing. This December seems to be no excpetion.
Although so far there has fortunately been nothing to compare with the immense disaster of last year there have
been a number of smaller incidents that for the people involved will have been every bit as frightenening. For example widespread flooding has affected areas of
Columbia with hundreds made homeless. Severe winter conditions - the worst in living memory have affected parts of Japan and China, and also Europe, where Germany and
the Czech Republic have seen extreme conditions. Last week it was the USA that shivered under unseasonably severe conditions.
Seven major earthquakes.
It is also worth pointing out that in the last two or three weeks there have been a spate of at least seven major
earthquakes, with at least five of these above 6.5 magnitude. Fortunately these occurred in relatively remote locations which is just as well . Had they occurred close to
major cities of the developing world the casualty figures would have been colossal. It just shows the fine and apparently arbitrary line between a major disaster and a
complete non event that passes without notice.
Difficult period ahead.
Added on 10th December 2005
Be warned that the coming week with a focus just before and after the Full Moon on the 15th of December may be
emotionally trying as well as a period prone to natural disasters. We isolated this as a period of trouble some time ago. Mars, Earth and Jupiter are in long term
opposition and the proximity of the Winter/Summer Solstice according to hemisphere means this is always a time of added stress and tension. For more on this please turn to our feature below
On the 12th of December 2005 the Moon aligns with Mars which is already in opposition with Jupiter. This is likely to
lead to agitated moods and feelings with the possibility of friction within relationships and volatile exchanges that will make this Full Moon even more forceful than usual.
December has long been recognised as a time of difficult moods and feelings which may just be the reason why
many ancient cultures chose to hold wild celebrations at this time - probably in an attempt to make the best of difficult circumstances.
Air crashes.
This time of the year is also noted for its air crashes and in the last few days there have been at least two. The first
occurred in snow stricken Chicago where a passsenger plane skidded off the end of a runway. The second was in Nigeria where all 100 plus passengers of a DC 9 are
believed dead after their plane crashed in bad weather.
However this doesn’t mean that flying is unsafe at this time. Remember the chances of being involved in a plane
wreck are usually around two million to one. Perhaps at this time of year the odds shrink just a little, but still would not dip below one and three quarter million to one; which is not bad.
Christmas and December tensions.
Added on 9th 0f December 2005
We are now approaching Christmas time which traditionally is supposed to be a time of joy and good will
to all Mankind. However in practice things are usually quite different and this time of year is well known for its own separate tensions. But why should this be?
We believe that a good part of the reason has to do with the fact that December sees the Sun align to the
background of the centre of our own Galaxy the Milky Way. Some believe the power of the Sun is then conjoined or otherwise influenced by the added Cosmic radiation to
produce a unique period of very distinct emotions.
The Sun also aligns with the Milky Way towards the middle of June but at that time its passage across the
Milky Way is short and therefore not so influential. The result is that moods and feelings can be sharply elevated, turbulent, and prone to severe upsets. Although many
believe this is simply a result of the rush to ensure a perfect Christmas or nostalgic reflection, we believe that this time of year has always been associated with its tensions.
This may be why ancient societies long ago abandoned all efforts to conduct serious work at this time and gave their
efforts to wild partying and celebrations. Ostensibly these were to celebrate the birth of important Gods, religious figures, or the Winter Solstice.
Eating and drinking.
However it seems that apart from the religious and astronomical observances lay an acknowledgement that
this time of year was prone to disasters and difficult moods - hence the need for a celebration to cheer things up. And that’s the way December always seems to have been
treated - a month for eating, drinking and feasting. For instance the Romans celebrated their Saturnalia in late December which was the most popular holiday of the
whole Roman year. Catullus describes it as "the best of days," and Seneca complains that the "whole mob has let itself go in pleasures."
Whatever the case December can be one of the most challenging months of the year bringing deep and
sometimes distressing emotions with vulnerable moods and feelings that need careful handling. It has the potential to be enjoyable but so too the potential to cause great anguish.
Three major earthquakes.
Added on 5th December 2005
An indication of the immense forces existing at this time is the occurrence of three major earthquakes in the last few
days. The first of 6.6 magnitude occurred off the East Coast of Honshu in Japan. The second of magnitude 6.1 occurred in the Ryuku Islands - again close to Japan. The
third and largest earthquake of this period was of magnitude 6.9 and occurred in the region of Lake Tanganyika in Africa. This also occurred right on the day of
Lunar Perigee when the Moon is closest to the Earth in its monthly cycle.
Powerful alignments are upon us.
Added on 21st November 2005
This period now sees itself at the focus of numerous potent and long term planetary alignments. For instance we are
now very much at the height of the Saturn, Earth, Neptune opposition. This has been around since late August and will last until February of next year. Likely effects are
idealistic and creative expression, but also confused impractical thinking and the possibility of acute emotional frustration.
Mars, Earth and Jupiter are also in long term alignment, or opposition, and will remain so well into the new year. This
conjoinment is notable for its confrontational and argumentative aspects with the possibility of extremist actions. More positive attributes include adventurous and
generous inclinations with great enthusiasm. This alignment will be at a peak between the end of November and the middle of December 2005.
Sun and Mercury.
The next few days also sees the alignment of the Sun and Mercury. With a duration of only five days this is a short
but powerful alignment with very great influence. Likely effects include: Powerful mental activity with good self expression, but the possibility of nervous upsets and a strong desire for change.
On the 23rd of November the Moon will be in opposition with the Earth and Uranus. This may bring the likelihood of
strained and at times highly desperate feelings of an extreme nature. In conjunction with the other mentioned features it means that the next week is likely to be one of
clashing and at times difficult emotional circumstances. One good note is that the phase of the Moon will favour a lower tone of mood so that tempers may not be quite as
strident as previous days. However the next week begs for care and attention.
Solar activity on the increase again.
Added on 17th November 2005
For the past month Solar activity has been unusually calm with few sunspots and the lowest flare activity for around
ten years. Now however the Sun is firing up again, with a large sunspot grouping and increased flare activity. This may result in changeable and irritable circumstances with
poor concentration, forgetfulness, and general lack of direction.
Major earthquake at time of Full Moon.
Added on 15th November 2005 and revised on the 18th November 2005.
Once again the ability of the Full Moon to bring on major earthquakes was amply demonstrated with a 7.2
magnitude earthquake off the East coast of Honshu in Japan. Large earthquakes very often cluster around the Full Moon or New Moon as celestial forces are especially strong at this time.
The above mentioned earthquake was followerd by another major quake on the 17th of November. This occurred on the
Bolivia, Chile border and was of 6.9 magnitude.
Update 19th November 2005
Three more major earthquakes measuring 6.5, 6.4 and 6.5 magnitude rocked areas of Northern Sumatera in
Indonesia, the Unimak Islands, and Kyushu in Japan. The latest is a major 6.7 earthquake in the Bonin Islands in the Pacific Ocean. This brings to six the number of major
earthquakes that have occurred within a matter of days either side of the Full Moon. All in all an astonishing period of seismic activity that comes at the height of one of the
most active periods of celestial activity in this current year.
The Earth is especially vulnerable around the Full Moon because it has the power to raise mountains, rocks, and
tectonic plates by up to six inches, thus increasing the chance of continental plates sticking together only to part with quite extraordinary violence.
It is worth pointing out that the incredible earthquake and Tsunami disaster that struck areas of South East Asia in
late December 2004 occurred right on the Full Moon and came just days after the winter solstice - itself a time prone to major earthquakes and disasters.
Rioting in France follows important alignment.
Added on 8th of November 2005
Serious rioting in many parts of France, with a focus on the capital Paris comes at a time of heightened planetary
influence. Currently the Sun, Earth and Mars are in close alignment, or opposition as some would call it. This means that the Earth sits in between both Mars and the Sun.
The French rioting which has caused serious social order problems also comes at a time when Mars is on its
closest approach to this planet for the next 13 years. Traditionally the characteristics associated with Mars are those of war, division, aggression, and anger - in fact a
whole range of bellicose qualities that for many ancient cultures led it to being named after the God of War. The Romans chose the name Mars, probably after the ancient
Babylonian name Marduk, and the Greeks named the planet Aris! However whatever the name the connection is the same - that in certain circumstances such as the
present Mars alignment, war and disruption always rear their face.
Clock change difficulties.
Added 3rd November 2005
An important element of this time, and one that is entirely the result of human action is the putting of the clocks
back or forward, according to hemisphere. Particularly in the northern hemisphere this can be particularly unsettling. Nights now seem to be much longer so that those
susceptible to darkness can feel low and depressed. Sleeping rhythms may also be disturbed and fatigue and tiredness may become a regular feature.
Some are able to adapt quite quickly but for large numbers of people especially in high northern latitudes prolonged
darkness remains a bar to full mental well being.
Astronomical relevance of Halloween.
Added on 28th October 2005
This years Halloween also coincides with the closest approach of Mars to this planet for 13 years !! Mars is
traditionally associated with drive and ambition, war and aggression, and with predominantly male characteristics, and it remains to be seen whether this close approach also
results in a surfeit of these qualities.
Halloween as a festival preceding All Souls Day is superimposed on a particularly poignant astronomical
period, as it comes almost exactly half way between the Autumn/Spring equinox, according to hemisphere, and the Winter/Summer solstice, again according to whatever
hemisphere you may be in. These divisions are known as cross quarter periods of which there are four in each year: Groundhog Day (Feb. 2nd), May Day (May 1st), Lammas
Day (Aug. 1st), and Halloween (Oct. 31st).

Low Solar activity.
Reduced Solar ouput may bring big freeze.
Added on 26th October 2005
What a difference a month makes in space. In September the Sun went crazy firing off at least 9 major X flare
explosions including one huge flare that came in at a colossal X 17. (See here for story) This on the scale of Solar flares is something like an earthquake measuring around 20 on the Richter scale - so quite some event and
in the all time ranking of Solar flares came in at a highly creditable fourth.
So agitated was this period that it formed the most active period of Solar activity for around 17 years. This is quite
some going as Solar activity was expected to be low as it approaches a period in its 11 year cycle - Solar minmum- when extraordinary flare activity is far from usual.
Reduced Solar output
However just over a month after this dizzy level of Solar activity we now have the exact opposite circumstances
with extremely low Solar output. In fact X rays from the Sun have dimmed to their lowest level since 1997 with no sunspots and a picture that is at complete variance with
the one that existed just over a month ago. Its just as if the Sun after having expended such vasy amounts of energy in the September activity is now recovering its power before firing up again.
A big freeze may be likely.
This roller coaster of peaks and troughs in Solar output shows how unpredictable the Sun really is and illustrates
how much more we have to learn about our nearest star.
We believe that the current low levels of Solar activity may have striking consequnces of the worlds climate system.
After all reduced Solar output means less heat and even if this is only fractionally less than normal could herald major effects here on Earth. In the northern hemisphere this
could lead to very severe autumn weather with unseasonably freezing conditions for many places. Unusual cold may also affect the southern hemisphere
giving rare periods of unsually adverse spring weather.
Interesting few weeks.
While it may not be easy to predict the exact consequences of this reduced Solar output we shouldn’t
have long before we find out. Certainly the next few weeks should be very interesting.
Seasonal difficulty.
Added on 21st October 2005
It is worth pointing out that early autumn or spring according to which ever hemisphere you may be in, can
pose its own special challenges and can be a time of unsettled or even disturbing moods and feelings. There are a number of reasons for this. For some the coming of
autumn is greeted with a sense of dread, as darker evenings create gloomy moods and feelings, leading to depression and melancholia.
In the southern hemisphere early spring can also bring difficult feelings for the reverse reasons. With darker
evenings giving way to lighter skies, feelings and moods may be awakened with a rush that can cause subtle tension and anxiety, with unease and even dread. Some
studies show that spring can be a prime time for suicides as long dormant feelings awaken in a way that for some may be too much to contemplate.
Sun and Jupiter align.
Added on 18th October 2005
The Sun is currently aligning with Jupiter and Earth ( see below) This usually exerts a massive influence as Jupiter is
the largest planet in the Solar System. As far as its effects go any alignment is capable of causing tension and anxiety with a high degree of sensitivity, but this alignment
may be more positively inclined. There may be a renewed sense of optimism and enthusiasm with better disposed feelings and emotions. Other traits include good humour
and expansive gestures with charm and generosity and a more persuasive and convincing personality.

Expressive gestures.
Feelings for the finer things in art and literature or other cultured activity may flourish though there could be a
tendency towards over exaggeration or expressive responses that go far beyond ones talents and abilities. Hence it is necessary to guard against costly mistakes,
serious misjudgements, or entry into ventures the enthusiasm for which may wear off as quickly as the alignment.
Counter effects.
Some of the above mentioned qualities may be countered by the influence of the long term, on going alignment of
Saturn, Earth and Neptune. While this may bring idealistic and creative vigour with the possibility of persuasive expression it can also result in confusion and acute emotional frustration with even the possibility of neurotic
impulses. Of course not all of these traits will be apparent but to one extent of another they have to be considered in what is a long term alignment that will be around until the New Year.
Another factor that may clash with the emotional effects of the Sun, Jupiter, Earth alignment is the current phase of
the Moon which at this time may tend towards pessimism, melancholia, together with low enthusiasm.
The Sun, Jupiter, Earth alignment will be at its peak between the 20th and 25th of October and last until around the 28th of October.
Eclipses and disaster.
